The 4myheart Program features a patient-centric approach to help educate patients on how to improve their cardiac health. Patient enrollment is easy patients can participate in the 4myheart Program at no additional cost or obligation for up to nine months after they have had a Berkeley HeartLab test.
Personalized Care
We believe the most effective way to reduce cardiovascular disease and stroke risk is by working with clinicians to develop a personalized plan for each patient based on their genetics, current lifestyle, and health history. In partnership with the clinician, Berkeley HeartLab Clinical Educators can educate each patient based on the patient's risk, test results and their capabilities, motivation, and needs.
Multi-disciplinary Approach
Berkeley HeartLab Clinical Educators can instruct patients in the following areas:

|
- Nutrition: Eating the right types and portions of food
- Exercise: Choosing the appropriate frequency, intensity and types of exercise
- Stress: Practicing and mastering stress-relief techniques
- Medication: Learning how medications work, the importance of adherence, and how to minimize or prevent side-effects
